The best year in his career, according to Jonas himself.
A unusually long time out, beacause of the birth of his first
son Max i January, proved to be really good. The feeling for
his new family also contributed to make this a special year.
Jonas felt that he got new perspectives on his game, disolving
the high demands he used to have on himself, and making him
play and live in relaxed harmony. In the first tournament
after his return, in Milan, he immediately advanced to the
quarter final, then beat both Sa and Kuerten inte the Davis
Cup match against Brazil, playing the final in Marseille,
winning his second consecutive title in Wimbledon with Tood
Woodbridge, and... everything just kept on going in 100 percent
harmony, right up to 30th place in the singles ranking, the
best in five years.
